Course Development
This activity deals with the extensive description of courses, wich goes far beyond traditional syllabi. Following MIT’s OpenCourseWare model (http://ocw.mit.edu), which comprises the following structural components:
- course home,
- syllabus,
- calendar,
- readings,
- lecture notes,
- Assessment
Each of these structural components is described in detail, and often contains downloadable materials or links to relevant resources. In any case, the extensive course descriptions (Open Course Ware) will be published as Open Educational Resources.
Course descriptions may be developed as revisions and improvements of existing courses, or as entirely new products.
The concept of extensive course descriptons (OCW) will be applied to three different types of courses:
- Undergraduate courses
- Graduate courses
- Extension courses (external trainings)
