Integrated design Studio III- Architecture/ Urban Design / Urban Planning/ Socio-Economic studies


The course is a sub-module for the course Integrated Design Project under the program BSc in Architecture. It is delivered in 6th semester with the prerequisite of Architectural Design module. The module deals on the integration of multiple urban spatial and non-spatial factors. This studio is a design studio with special focuses to Urban Analysis, Context, and Regulatory Code-related issues with city-wide importance. Through critical analysis of urban context focused on different zones (land uses); students are expected to contemplate socio-spatial and socioeconomic study in their specific design project. Such a project will give broader understanding of their specific design sites; Moreover, students will exercise inclusiveness and participatory design approach starting from the inception stage to the end proposal.
