The Covid-19 crisis has (had) severe impacts on the housing market. In this assignment we would like to study its impacts on evictions. Write down your answers to the following three questions (200-400 words per question).

• 1) In section 3.3.2 macro level factors that affect the rate of evictions are discussed. The Covid-19 crisis has (had) severe impacts on the housing market. Can you illustrate the relationship between Covid-19 and evictions by giving an example from your own environment (from the press or personal experience)?
  
  
• 2) European governments have tried to reduce the number of evictions during the Covid-19 crisis with various measurements. Evaluate one of the concrete measurements that were taken in your own country to reduce evictions/prevent homelessness during Covid-19 and give your opinion on whether you think this measurement has been successful or not?
  
  
• 3) Please read the article on evictions as a result of Covid-19 in the Guardian by Kalyeena Makortoff (May 31, 2021), based on a research report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF): https://www.theguardian.com/money/2021/may/31/end-eviction-ban-puts-half-a-million-households-risk.
  
  One of the conclusions of the report is that there will be a ‘two-tier recovery’ of the housing market after Covid-19 where wealthier homebuyers have been prioritized over poorer renters who fared significantly worse throughout the pandemic. Would this inequality effect be the same in other European countries, why or why not?
