Getting Active: Solutions Redevelopment
This task on the redevelopment of Roma settlements is based on the task Group Task on the redevelopment of Roma settlements of chapter 5. If you have not yet completed that task, you should at least read the papers about the settlements of György telep and Pata Rat before continuing the following activity.
Read: Take your time to read the following paper on the place based approach in European development policies:

Elaborate: Write an essay of approx. 1000 to 1600 words. The essay should answer the following questions/include the following aspects:
- What is the place based approach?
- Describe one example (from the article or from your personal or professional experience) of a place based development process.
- What is the authors perspective on the place based approach?
- What is your oppinion on the place-based approach? Is it a drop in the sea or catalyst for change? Give at least three arguments for your position and address one counter-argument or potential limitation.
