E-Module Chapter 2: Precariousness & Financialization

In the chapter, we introduced the following actors who are relevant for providing housing: 

• Private homeowners
• Banks and financial institutions
• The state
• Social housing providers
• Institutional investors
• Short term rental platforms

1) Choose one of these groups and investigate the situation in your own region. Write a brief portrait of up to 500 words discussing the role of your selected stakeholder. Refer to the following aspects: Quantity (e.g. share of housing ownership), existence of any dominant entities (companies or association), implications for residents, implications on precariousness of housing, political organisation, relationship to other stakeholders. 

2) Reflect. What are similarities and differences and/or regional peculiarities when comparing your findings to what you've read in section 2.4 of the textbook?
